Although this year’s bonfire & fireworks display have been cancelled due to the current government recommendations, Hilton Parish Council will still be allowing residents of the village to dispose of any suitable burnable garden waste as they have done in previous years, this is aimed at those who are unable to dispose of it in other ways and rely on this service.
The gate to the wilderness will be open on Saturday 7th November from 9am to 1pm to allow residents to drop off their garden waste. During this time we ask that people adhere to any current social distancing measures and be courteous of others in the area. There will be members of the Parish Council in attendance to help and to ensure any material is suitable to burn.
Please note, the fire will not be lit on the 7th and will be dealt with as appropriate on a different occasion, unfortunately we cannot allow people to gather when the fire is lit due to COVID restrictions. Any queries please contact Sharon Walker 07984 232424 or Rob Collard.
