Playground Press Release
Work begins on new children’s play park in Hilton
Building work is under way to create a new playpark for children and their families in Hilton.
The Hilton Village Playpark project is a step closer now that the existing equipment and damaged surfacing has been removed at the site in Grove End.
The project, which is being funded by a £52,901 grant from FCC Communities Foundation, will provide brand new play equipment and facilities once it is open later this year.
Sara Partridge, Hilton Parish Councillor is excited that the project is starting to take shape.
She says: “It’s great to see our vision for this vital community facility moving closer to reality. We are extremely grateful for the funding FCC Communities Foundation has given us and we’re looking forward to opening to the public.”
FCC Communities Foundation is a not-for-profit business that awards grants for community, conservation and heritage projects from funds donated by FCC Environment through the Landfill Communities Fund.
Richard Smith, Grant Manager for FCC Communities Foundation says: “It is always good to see a project we have funded start to take shape. The community at Hilton has put a huge amount of effort into making this project a reality and I’m looking forward to seeing the completed area being well used.”
