Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your local community? Hilton Parish Council invites applications for the co-option of a Parish Councillor to join our dedicated team in serving the residents of Hilton.

Criteria for eligibility:

  • Must be a British subject.
  • Must be over 18 years old.
  • Must be an elector in Hilton, or:
    • Reside within Hilton or within 4.8km of it.
    • Occupy as owner or tenant any land or premises within Hilton.
    • Have their principal or only place of work within Hilton.
  • Must not be disqualified from holding office as a Councillor.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the decision-making processes that shape our community’s future. As a Parish Councillor, you will have the opportunity to represent the interests of Hilton residents, participate in local projects, and work collaboratively with fellow councillors to address community issues.

Let’s come together to make a difference! Join our Hilton Community Litter Pick on Sunday, 14th April from 2pm to 4pm. Together, we can keep our beautiful village clean and green!

📍 Location: Meet at the Cricket Pavilion

🌟 Refreshments Provided Afterwards!

Ivy Cutting Working Party – Saturday 23rd March

The Parish Council has been most grateful for the tasks undertaken by various working parties in the past.  But the work never stops!  Next Saturday we will be cutting the ivy on our trees round the village.

 

DATE                     Saturday 23rd March

 

TIME                     10.00

 

DURATION        2 hours or so

 

MEET                    Village Hall car park

 

FORMAT             Revert to pre-COVID approach with groups of 5-6 working together

 

EQUIPMENT     Please bring, loppers, secateurs, pruning saws but most importantly, yourself.  We will have a few spare tools if you have none.

 

ENTICEMENT   Refreshments will be provided

Churchyard Working Group

On Saturday 9th March the Church will be holding a working party in the churchyard from 10am to noon. We will be cutting back the growth from the base of the lime trees around the perimeter of the North side of the church yard so loppers and secateurs would be ideal (no chainsaws this time). Supervised children are welcome and refreshments will, of course, be provided 😃😃
