A14 westbound junctions 24 to 22 – bridge joint repairs

National Highways plan to carry out bridge joint repairs on the A14 westbound between junctions 24 and 22. This will ensure the A14 continues to remain in a safe and serviceable condition.

They plan to complete this work over one night on Tuesday 19 November 2024. They will work between 8pm and 6am only, weather permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, they will need to close the A14 westbound between junctions 24 and 21, and divert traffic as follows:

• Traffic travelling westbound on the A14 will be diverted to leave at junction 24, take the 3rd exit onto the bridge, at the roundabout take the 1st exit on to the A1307. At Godmanchester, take the exit slip, at the roundabout take the 1st exit on to A1198. Continue on A1198 until Caxton Gibbet Roundabout. At the Caxton Gibbet Roundabout take the 3rd exit on the A428. Continue on the A428 until Wyboston, and take the A1 northbound towards Brampton before rejoining the A14 at junction 21.
