Weekly Policing Update
Very happily, there are no items to mention in our weekly summary of offences and incidents affecting your community this week, covering the period 11th to 18th June:
Police Appeal For Witnesses:
Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision between two cars, a white Ford ranger and a grey Citroen DS3, on the B1123 near Bluntisham at around 3:45 pm on Tuesday 15th June. Very sadly, one person died in the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dash-cam footage, or who saw the vehicles in the moments before the incident, is asked to contact the police using any of the methods listed at the end of this report, quoting Incident Number 334 of 15 June.
And Finally … New Police Direct Entry Recruitment Programme
Cambridgeshire Police have just launched a new programme to recruit people to train for the role of Detective Constable, within an initial two-year probation period. This accelerated career path will see new recruits working alongside experienced detectives on a variety of different investigations, learning the role of ‘Officer in the Case’ (OIC).
